TRACY HATCHER. ART
I am a former Liverpool, UK based artist, now living in Ontario Canada. I split my time between teaching, painting and exploring new creative outlets.
I have been passionate about art from an early age and began painting professionally in 2020. I recently retired from a nursing career to become a full time artist and visual arts teacher at an online high school based in Ontario. I work from a small home studio creating, painting, crocheting and everything in between.

I believe that art can be anything that inspires you to put pencil to paper, exploring styles, color and expression of the world around you.
Mixed Media Artist
Creativity has followed me from a young age and my collection of artwork reflects how I see the world around me. I take inspiration from the things I enjoy so my work is predominantly inspired by animals, nature, pop culture or ideas which have been percolating for a while in my head.

My art style is ever evolving. I enjoy working in pen and ink mixed with watercolor. I love the unpredictability the water and ink creates but executed with intent - think organised chaos! I also work with other media including acrylics, collage, pastels, and pencils, but nothing makes me happier than splashing paint over a meticulously detailed pen drawing. I usually start with a particular medium in mind but often the process leads me to use a variety of materials to achieve the final piece.

As well as using paint and pencils, I enjoy bringing ideas to life in a tactile three - dimensional form using crochet. I have an ever growing collection of one off pieces in my Handmade collection.
